The Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon will be coming through Fairfax on the morning of Sunday, October 31, 2021.  This will require a number of traffic restrictions.  Affected street will be totally closed to vehicular traffic from 7:00 a.m. until approximately 1:15 p.m.  The affected streets are:

  • Germania and Murray
  • Germania and Bancroft
  • Watterson and Bancroft
  • Watterson and Elder
  • Elder and Lonsdale
  • Elder and Germania
  • Elder and Southern
  • Southern and Roberts
  • Southern and Grace
  • Southern and Wooster Pike
  • Wooster Pike and Meadowlark
  • Red Bank exit from West Columbia Parkway
  • Colbank ramp from Red Bank Rd. to West Columbia Parkway

During race hours, there will be different ways for vehicles to travel in and out of Fairfax if you must leave your home between 7:00 a.m. – 1:15 p.m.

  1. Wooster Pike east and west will be open
  2. For Meadowlark Lane, Oriole Court, Nightingale Court & Drive and Chickadee Court, go eastbound on Grace to Southern Ave and an officer will assist you.
  3. Murray Rd – travel through the Sports Club lot (please drive slowly)
  4. Red Bank Road is open
  5. for residents east of Watterson:  Go to Wooster Pike
  6. For resident on S. Whetzel and Germania:  park overnight on Bancroft at Warren or on Elder towards Simpson.
  7. For residents of 3900 block of Lonsdale, Germania and Southern:  park overnight in the 3800 block of Lonsdale or Germania.  (Parking in the lot at Frisch’s will not help you)
