DESCRIPTION:The Village of Fairfax council will hold two public hearings on
April 1\, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. and April 15\, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. at the Villa
ge of Fairfax Municipal Building\, 5903 Hawthorne Ave\, Fairfax\, OH 4522
7 for the purpose of hearing public comments on the community development
needs of the Village of Fairfax\, and to discuss the possible submission o
f one or more Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) applications for th
e 2024\, 2025\, and 2026 program years. The CDBG program is administered b
y the Community Development Department of Hamilton County\, Ohio\, and wil
l make funds available to eligible local governments for housing\, economi
c development\, public facilities\, public infrastructure\, and planning a
ctivities\, with the principal purpose of benefitting low/moderate income
persons. The first hearing held on April 1\, 2024 will provide further inf
ormation about the CDBG program and will allow for citizen participation i
n the development of any proposed grant applications and/or to provide tec
hnical assistance to develop alternate proposals. Comments on the CDBG pro
gram or proposed project(s) will be received at this time. The second hear
ing will review the projects that Springfield Township intends to submit t
o Hamilton County for funding. The hearings are being conducted pursuant t
o Section 570.486\, Subpart I of the CFR and in compliance with the requir
ements of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974\, as amended.
